Blessed Carlo Acutis is the rebirth of St Chad’s Catholic and Church of England School.
St Chad’s opened to the local community in September 1976, since that time, it has seen many transformations. Originally a Catholic school, the Church of England became involved in September 2009, forming a joint faith school.
In March 2022, the school joined St Joseph Catholic Multi Academy trust as St Chad’s with an Academy status.
In October 2023, following much consultation with the student and the community, St Chad’s became Blessed Carlo Acutis Catholic and Church of England Academy.
