At Blessed Carlo Acutis Year 7 pupils complete work in Computer Science lessons to highlight including Online Behaviour, Protecting your online reputation, How to use social networking safely, Data security, Cybercrime (Computer Use Laws) and many other areas around E-Safety.

Our Acceptable Use Policy / Internet Safety policy is in place and all parents /pupils must agree to the terms before pupils are allowed to access the school network. As a faith school E-safety is also built into our SMSC Morning Prayer programme.

Parent Info provides support and advice to parents, with contributions from the leading experts and organisations in matters related to young people and families in a digital world.

NSPCC
The NSPCC have losts of advice for teachers and parents.

PACE (Parents against Child Exploitation) offer advice for parents whose children have been sexually exploited or where there are significant concerns. They also provide phone and online counselling for parents as well as parents support meetings. http://paceuk.info  PACE has also developed free e-learning for parents and carers to help identify the signs of your child’s online behaviour may be putting them at risk. • Internet Matters offers information about many of the issues and technologies that children may come across in the online world. From sexting to cyberbullying it provides practical suggestions about how to take preventative measures, but also what to do if your family needs advice about a specific issue. http://www.internetmatters.org
