Inclusion at Blessed Carlo Acutis takes many forms and underpins our daily lives. For staff and students, living out our values are what makes us fully inclusive. We are clear that by showing Respicio, we wrap love and care around every member of our community.
On another level, our policies are all encompassing – for example our equality policy, behaviour policy, SEN policy and many more ensure that we live out our mission and ensure that we provide a safe and caring environment for our students to thrive.
For those who need some extra support at certain times during their time with us, we have an array of packages that can be accessed such as Fresh Start and Reading plus interventions, ELSA sessions, Forest School, THRIVE, Lego Therapy, Art therapy, Soft Landings, Trauma Informed mentoring are only the tip of the iceberg.
To give our students experiences without the worry of affordability, we offer free residentials to a range of places, some trips are fully paid for such as dance trips to London, Year 7 are all given a book on their arrival, Christmas dinner is eaten together as a family and paid for by the school, breakfast is also fully funded every day from 8am and Year 10 and 11 students are provided with revision guides and packs for all their subjects. Again, like the support packages, this list is just the tip of the iceberg.
Our aim and vision is that no student should go without and we aim to ensure that on a daily basis our inclusive approach is all encompassing.
